Well, Lola is now ready to be in her very own show and workshop where you can learn to create her over two days, she is looking set to go travelling to, and if you are interested in her making her way to your corner of the world, let me know and I will see if we can achieve it.
With the main focus of the workshop being about sculpting the body, proportions, the armature and dressing the figure. Rhu will provide a mould for the basic facial features which we will then add finishing detail too.
Make those feathers, frills and stripes. An amazing portfolio piece and opportunity to develop skills to make competition entries and expand your sugarcraft skills.

Down at the bottom of the garden, among the bluebells and tall grass lives a beautiful fairy known as Felicity. She loves butterflies and is often found standing so still with her arm out stretched in the hope that a little butterfly will settle, just for a while, and she can gaze on it’s beauty.
Standing about 8″ high and made with sugarpaste and modelling chocolate, Felicity wears a pretty outfit formed for her from wafer paper, you can learn how to make wafer paper malleable and workable to create your own outfit for your fairy.
We will sculpt her body around an internal armature, make the face and dress our fairy and complete her with a waferpaper butterfly.
Join Rhu on one of the dates available through the year to make your own fairy ready to take home. Click on the image below for information and booking details.

I think they are one of the most adorable projects I’ve made so far and made all the more so with the addition of some dusting powders.
I love how they really all have their own little characters and high level of cuteness.
and as you can see I was loosing the plot slightly that evening
But here is my little ted and I a bit more composed
